The original Intonation Music Festival has announced several more impressive acts for the independent music concert to be held June 24-25 in Union Park.

Joining previously announced acts Bloc Party and the Streets are the much-hyped English rapper Lady Sovereign, Montreal's post-punk quartet the Stills, veteran Japanese noise-rockers the Boredoms, acoustic troubadour Jose Gonzalez, Brooklyn punks Panthers and dance artists Chromeo.

Also booked is a rare performance by Jon Brion, the Hollywood film scorer and orchestral pop songwriter who has worked with Kanye West, Fiona Apple and Aimee Mann.

Promoters sold out a limited number of advance tickets on Monday, but regular tickets are now on sale $20 for a one-day pass and $35 for a two-day pass through www.intonationmusicfest.com. They promise to announce additional acts soon.

Meanwhile, organizers of the competing Pitchfork Music Festival, who broke from Intonation after last year's inaugural festival, pledge to announce more acts soon for their concerts in Union Park, Ashland and Randolph, July 29-30 (www.pitchforkmusicfestival.com).
